My Consulting Business was recently featured in West Coast Families "Yummy Mummy" Magazine. I have always been a big fan of West Coast Families Magazine and discovered it when I was pregnant with my son the first time around. It contains a wealth of information and is a tremendous resource for moms.
I am very honoured that I was able to be a part of the magazine this month and I hope you get the chance to check it out - you can find copies around the Lower Mainland or on-line at www.yummymummymag.com
I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting this event for moms on the West Coast. This promises to be the greatest networking and educational event this year for all moms! If you have a small business or are wanting to go in to business for yourself - I promise you that this is the place to be!
There will be business presentations on centre stage every hour that are relevant to today's "mompreneur" and potential "mompreneurs". This is also an opportunity to shop for the latest products and services, mingle with other moms, have a glass of wine (or coffee) and just have an all-around good time. The event is taking place at the fabulous Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver on June 2nd. And the price is right for everyone.
My spring Workshops are finally here and I invite you to check them out. In addition, there will be an Event announcement next week.
If you are a new mom or a second or third time 'round mom, and have always wanted to go in to business for yourself, then these Workshops are for you.
I've recently been debating on returning to the gym to improve my cardio strength. As a one time personal trainer, I encountered a lot of women who just didn't know how or where to start when choosing a gym - so here are some easy tips to warm you up to the idea....
- Drive around your area and see which ones are the closest to you.The further the gym, the more likely you will be to use that as an excuse as to why you don’t go in a few months.
I don't know if it is the weather that has me feeling down or if it because my entire family is sick with a terrible cold (my one year old daughter has the worst of it). I also haven't slept for the past two nights as both children have been up and down and so I am "on" throughout the night to make sure everyone is ok.
But it also got me thinking about my role as a stay at home mom and how hard I have been trying to help other women become ones too in the past year. Why have I been trying so hard to get my message out about being a stay at home mom? Maybe its because I have been on both sides. I know what it is like to pursue my career and try to balance a family (I did for one year part time with my son, and drove myself crazy).
