For the past three months, I have been exercising 5 days/week and eating sensibly. My goal was to lose 20 pounds. Now that I've hit that goal - I am setting a new one.
I have officially entered myself in a 5K race in White Rock. It's been one of my dreams to run in a race and the one I have chosen is near and dear to my heart.....
Ok - I came across some amazing recipes the other day. And witih the US Thanksgiving just around the corner - I thought I would share them with readers. Although for Canadians, Thanksgiving is long past, we can still use these winter dishes to warm our tummies.
I also am trying very hard to lose some weight so although these dishes aren't very "weight conscious", I will be posting some in the coming week to help with those of us trying to lose the weight before Christmas. However, for now, let's just indulge ourselves a bit....
First, I want to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Tomorrow is our actual day of celebration in Canada, but I felt compelled to put my wishes out there to everyone today - in hopes that it will inspire you to "take stock" of all the things to be thankful for in your life.
This week, my company experienced a set back, one of quite monumental proportions. Our event with Suze Orman had to be cancelled, after six months of hard work...
I wanted to take a quick moment during this holiday long weekend, to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. This is a time to be with your family - a time to take pause and be thankful for the things we have in our lives.
And although this Thanksgiving for me is not how I envisioned it - as I am terribly sick with the flu and have been up all night sick - I can still be extremely thankful for all the wonderful things in my life.
